Responsible for accurate receiving, binning, picking and packing of stock items.
Accurate Location and Part Scanning as well as Secure Binning of all stock items.
Reporting of stock irregularities and possible problems. (Incorrect quantities, incorrect stock items, damaged stock, incorrectly bar-coded stock items etc).
Segregate and put away identified items required for quarantine.
Picks goods off shelves/storage area from the picking list or scanner against customer orders or product specifications.
Responsible for packing goods onto shelves/storage area (racks, bulk area, mez etc.)
Responsible for packing goods in the correct packaging into the correct areas/locations.
Checks picked orders against documentation and or scanner.
Packs items into cartons, etc., and ensures label documentation is correct.
Processing and scanning of stock movement using the Warehouse management systems.
Operate forklifts, and other MHE with a valid license.
Housekeeping and maintaining of safe working conditions (HSE, 5S, OS etc.).
Ensure compliance of all relevant legislative requirements and that all activities in your area of responsibility are compliant with company specific regulations.
Report any irregularities to the warehouse supervisor immediately.
Proper use of Warehouse equipment and machinery in accordance with the Health and Safety Act as well as individuals’ specific training of such equipment (Only persons with recognized training certificates in such equipment and machinery are permitted to operate such).
Conduct daily MHE Checklists by conducting thorough checks and inspections of machines. Maintain and report the condition of these MHE’s and escalate non compliance to the warehouse supervisor immediately.
Ensure the correct PPE’s are worn when operating a MHE. These include reflector vest, kidney belt as per the OHSACT requirements and standards.
Ensure the safe and proper use of these machines at all times. Any issues and/or concerns to be reported to management.
Perform any lawful instruction given by a person in authority – relating to the warehouse operation.
Matric qualification
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Ability to read, write and communicate in English fluently and interpret basic instructions
Ability to count and do basic subtraction, addition, multiplication and division
Forklift Operator License
