Medical Science Liaison - Rueil Malmaison (Paris)

Role Purpose:
The Medical Science Liaison is responsible for providing scientific and medical information in response to requests from healthcare professionals, and for developing scientific partnerships aimed at optimizing patient care and expanding the product portfolio. Mobility required (field activity)

SCIENTIFIC AND MEDICAL INFORMATION FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS
  • Sharing scientific and medical information (clinical and development data, publications, etc.) tailored to the needs of experts or healthcare professionals, through individual interviews or scientific meetings.
  • Drafting of scientific information materials.
  • Answering scientific and medical questions, as required, on hospital medical committees responsible for the proper use of medicines.


MEDICAL STRATEGY AND PROJECTS MANAGEMENT
  • Identify medical experts and institutional networks (healthcare decision-makers, public health organizations, etc.) in your field of expertise and qualify them in the CRM.
  • Educate, raise awareness and train HCPs and external stakeholders about the company’s therapeutic areas and products.
  • Based on this mapping, propose an action plan for presence among key opinion leaders (KOL management), and inform Sales and Marketing.
  • Analysis of all the environmental characteristics of the therapeutic area in relation to the national context.
  • Definition of strategic medical issues in line with corporate strategy.
  • Ensuring the scientific and ethical quality of projects.
  • Setting up non-promotional medical operations with expert healthcare professionals (symposia, staff meetings): contacting and recruiting doctors and external speakers and drawing up NIP contracts. Provide scientific data and references required by speakers.
  • Setting up programs to optimize patient care (care networks, information programs, observatories, etc.)
  • Organize, participate in, or lead expert groups and round tables (advisory boards, etc.)
  • Identify therapeutic and clinical trends in various therapeutic area for therapeutic monitoring and portfolio orientation.
  • For all Business Development projects: validate medical relevance; evaluate therapeutic potential; document patient pathways.
  • Setting up and monitoring partnerships/scientific actions in line with the strategy established for referent accounts.
  • Participation in medical congresses and sharing of information received.
  • Management of invoices, bills of fees and follow-up of the medical budget with Finance.
  • Conduct medical interactions and activities for markets in the EME region, whenever required.
INTERNAL MEDICAL CONTRIBUTION
  • Transmission of adverse event reports to the pharmacovigilance department.
  • Validation of various media produced by internal teams (marketing, regulatory, quality) in Veeva and scientific and medical assistance to all company departments.
  • Contribution to the preparation of dossiers required by health/hospital authorities (note of therapeutic interest, transparency dossier, variation safety, off-label reports, shortage management plan) in collaboration with Marketing and Pharmaceutical Affairs.
  • Medical contribution to signal and proper-use committees.
  • Preparation and validation of medical training documents and initial and ongoing training of internal stakeholders.
  • Contribution to the definition of marketing strategy.
  • Proof-reading of scientific messages for marketing campaigns.
  • Provide medical input and contribution for markets in the EME region, whenever required.


COMPLIANCE WITH PROFESSIONAL ETHICS
  • Pro Relations with healthcare professionals based on the exchange of validated, scientific, and non-promotional information.
  • Sharing of skills needed to improve the use of the drug or its development.
  • Compliance of data delivered to healthcare professionals: up-to-date data validated by science and participation in the fight against scientific fraud.
  • Compliance with the principles of data completeness and transparency: communication of all known and relevant data, whether positive or negative.
  • Critical analysis of data, study design, methodologies, analysis and/or presentation of results.
  • Follows procedures when meeting healthcare professionals: presentation with identity, company, title, and function.
  • Adheres to notification/approval timetable with relevant authorities at events, hospitality, etc.
  • Is responsible for drawing up and signing contracts with healthcare professionals and other necessary partners.
  • Ensures the necessary administrative follow-up for scientific events, participation of healthcare professionals, etc.


CLINICAL TRIALS COORDINATION CONTRIBUTION
  • Identify and select scientific study projects proposed by clinicians.
  • Participate in setting up and monitoring studies carried out by the laboratory, in support of head office teams.
  • Presentation of study results.

REQUIREMENTS
Education & Qualifications:
Honours Degree - Life sciences / (BSc in Chemistry/ Biology, etc.) or pharmacy degree
Master’s Degree Preferable - Master 2 Sciences + anaesthesia-intensive care expertise (would be a plus)
Doctorate Degree/ Multiple Masters Doctor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Medicine
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 6 years experience - In a similar role + IT – Pack Office
Fluent in at least one cluster country language and fluent in English - Required
