Ensure Master Data in terms of naming conventions, specifications, part numbers and supplier’s names are accurate. This will include standardisation and the successful interface of our data with the data of the supply partners.
Ensure planning of spares and stock to meet budget objectives (one month stock policy).
Review spares ROP/MAX levels with HOD’s at all mines every 4 months by using history and consumption reports.
Ensure and optimise the effectiveness of new stock creations on each mine, the change control process, product creation process and the new approval process to determine the reasons for the creations and the costs involved.
HOD’s to attend these calls to explain the new stock creations and to discuss in detail the quantities to put in stock, and if necessary to create new stock.
Together with the technical officers and engineering teams ensure all part numbers are correctly captured in the system and review all descriptions for completeness to ensure no non-confirmances during the procurement process.
Together with Demand and Inventory specialist to ensure all superseded part numbers is managed and updated correctly in the system.
Monthly and quarterly reports for all mines regarding new stock, new non-stock.
Develop a mind set approach at all mines regarding slow moving items and redundant stock.

2 years Master data and info management experience, gained in the mining industry will be an added bonus
