Location: Isando Distribution Centre (Gauteng)

Purpose of the Job

Plan and undertake the plant maintenance function in order to assure physical assets integrity of the Depot/Terminal such that all HSEQ and regulatory requirements are fulfilled.

What You'll Have Done Before

Baseline

• NQF Level 6 (National Diploma Mechanical Engineering)
• Trade Test (Qualified Artisan)
• 5 years experience in Plant Operations/Maintenance

Advantageous

• HSEQ Certificate

What You'll Be Doing

Budget Administration

• Annual input into Departmental CAPEX /OPEX business plan/budget
• Cost Centre Management
• Track monthly cost centre spend
• Generate monthly cost control report
• Report on monthly variances

Maintenance Planning & Scheduling

• Ensure adequate planning around Preventative Maintenance strategies
• Approved maintenance schedule
• An audit indicates full compliance with company policies, procedures and standards.
• Nil repeat findings on 920 and other HSEQ inspections
• Manage the SAP AM/PM systems

Maintenance Execution

• Reduced downtime and equipment failure
• Lower maintenance costs (within budget)
• Schedule planned maintenance
• Asset Register up to date
• Ensure all Maintenance Statutory requirements are met

Contractor Management

• Induction and Training conducted to Engen Standards
• Issuing of work permits (PTW)
• Ensure effective management of contractors on site
• Ensure all contractors adhere to remedial action plans

Contractor Liason

• Liaise with contractor on deliverables
• Follow up on timelines and performance measures

Coaching/Mentoring/Advising

• Facilitate Knowledge and skills transfer within team
• Coach and mentor individuals
• Provide advice and support

HSEQ Compliance Coordination

• Communicate and Train HSEQ Procedures
• Ensure compliance to HSEQ Policies and Procedures
• Model HSEQ Values
• Function as GMR2 (1) Appointee when required

Quality Control Movement

• Ensure that all Maintenance work executed meets required standards and complies with Safe Work Practices and Method statements
• Ensure all job safety analysis discussions take place
