Ensure the highest standards of food presentation for both à la carte orders and buffets.
Greet and welcome guests warmly, ensuring they are promptly seated and attended to.
Ensure accurate and timely order-taking, with special attention to VIP guests.
Maintain a keen awareness of the overall service experience in the restaurant, following up with every table.
Handle guest complaints with professionalism and care, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Supervise guest bill settlements to ensure accuracy.
Regularly inspect the restaurant for any maintenance needs and submit requisitions.
Oversee the daily mise-en-place setup to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain cleanliness standards in the restaurant, both inside and outside, and ensure staff are presentable.
Manage reservations in line with the Reservations policy, confirming all bookings.
Ensure the restaurant and staff are fully prepared for service at the agreed times.
Train and mentor junior staff on the job to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications & Skills:
Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven knowledge of food and beverage operations.
At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
