Food & Beverage Associate - Banqueting
Are you enthusiastic about events and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment? Our hotel in Thohoyandou is seeking a dedicated Food & Beverage Associate to join our Banqueting team. If you are passionate about delivering excellent service and ensuring events run smoothly, we’d love to hear from you!
Main Responsibilities:

- Assist with the setup and breakdown of banquets, conferences, and special events, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and banquet equipment.
- Ensure banquet rooms are properly set according to guest specifications and hotel standards.
- Prepare mise en place for events, ensuring all required items such as cutlery, glassware, crockery, and centerpieces are in place and polished.
- Serve food and beverages to guests during events, ensuring professional and attentive service throughout.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests during events with a courteous and helpful attitude.
- Maintain cleanliness in all banquet areas during and after events.
- Collaborate with the banqueting and kitchen teams to ensure a seamless event experience.
- Assist with managing banquet inventory and replenishing stock as needed.
- Report any issues with banquet equipment or supplies to management.
- Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving banquet equipment.
- Previous experience in banquet setup or event service is an advantage but not essential.
- Strong teamwork skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
