If you are passionate about delivering excellent service and ensuring events run smoothly, we’d love to hear from you! Main Responsibilities:
Assist with the setup and breakdown of banquets, conferences, and special events, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and banquet equipment.
Ensure banquet rooms are properly set according to guest specifications and hotel standards.
Prepare mise en place for events, ensuring all required items such as cutlery, glassware, crockery, and centerpieces are in place and polished.
Serve food and beverages to guests during events, ensuring professional and attentive service throughout.
Respond to guest inquiries and requests during events with a courteous and helpful attitude.
Maintain cleanliness in all banquet areas during and after events.
Collaborate with the banqueting and kitchen teams to ensure a seamless event experience.
Assist with managing banquet inventory and replenishing stock as needed.
Report any issues with banquet equipment or supplies to management.
Minimum Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
Fluent in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving banquet equipment.
Previous experience in banquet setup or event service is an advantage but not essential.
Strong teamwork skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
