The role of a supervisor:

Communication skills - Due to the social nature of their work, Retail Supervisors must
display excellent written and verbal communication skills. This can help them effectively communicate with staff members, customers, vendors and higher-ups.
Customer service skills - In order to meet customers' needs, Retail Supervisors must have advanced customer service skills. These skills can help them solve problems, diffuse tense situations, resolve conflicts and more.
Management skills - Retail Supervisors are usually required to oversee a number of staff members Thus, they must be able to efficiently and effectively manage people in a retail environment.
Organization - they need to be organized at all times.
Reliable, Honest, motivated and a team player.
Be able to carry out duties specified by the Manager/ Head office team
Strong emotional intelligence

Store Supervisor Responsibilities:

Overseeing salespeople and their relevant duties, shelf stockers, and other employees.
Monitoring shelve stocks and product displays, and the general appearance of the store.
Addressing customers' requests, comments, and complaints.
Motivating employees to achieve targets.
Assisting training new staff members
Making and achieving own targets and goals

REQUIREMENTS:

Demonstrable experience in a supervisory capacity at a retail store, or similar.
interpersonal skills in dealing with employees and customers.
Competency in retail management in some form
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
