Debt Recovery Legal Secretary
Bentley Attorneys in Mount Edgecombe is seeking a skilled Debt Recovery Legal Secretary to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:
- Draft pleadings, notices, default judgment applications, writs, and Section 65 applications.
- Prepare instruction letters for the court, sheriff, and correspondent attorneys.
- Follow up with the court, sheriff, and correspondent attorneys.
- Manage high volumes of debt collection matters using spreadsheets and system reminders.
- 3-5 years of experience in debt collection.
- Proven experience in magistrates' court litigation.
- Familiarity with Legal Suite software (advantageous but not essential).
- Attention to Detail: Accurately manage and track a large number of cases, ensuring all deadlines and actions are met.
- Organisational Skills: Prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently for timely follow-ups.
- Proficiency in Software: Competent with basic Excel and legal debt management systems.
- Strong Communication Skills: Professional communication with courts, correspondents and team members.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Identify and implement solutions to issues in debt recovery processes.
- Time Management: Work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines consistently.
