An exciting and new opportunity has become available for Cash Up Clerk on a 6-month fixed term contract basis. Our ideal candidate will be based in our Support Centre in George. Our ideal candidate must be self-motivated, positive, and passionate about performance, a resilient individual who can think laterally and who has strong analytical abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Daily auditing of Cash Ups Masterfile Recon in order to reconcile Cash and Cards to the banking.
Allocating discrepancies correctly with the right reason codes.
Doing follow-ups on outstanding queries.
Saving and filing electronically of Cash Up documentation correctly.
Reporting discrepancies in time and accurately.
Reaching given deadlines on time.
Ensuring that the money is banked accordingly.
Qualifications
Grade 12 Certificate.
Computer Literacy
Math Literacy
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Experience as a Cashier and Admin
The ability to work diligently, responsibly, effectively and unsupervised
The ability to interact smoothly with the Line-Manager and other staff in the Department
Competency in reading, writing and understanding English
Competency in basic Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
The ability to maintain an organized workflow
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivation and the ability to take initiative and be proactive
Good time-management skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A mature and professional attitude
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in good writing
