Purpose of the job: The purpose of Blockman is to cut meat products to quality standards according to the Butchery manager’s production plans KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: · Comply with all elements of Guest when interacting with customers i.e. G*reet – Uniform – Engage – Sell and saying Thank Y*ou; · Implement daily production plans in correct quantities available at the correct time of day; · Be able to work according to a production plan; · Ensure that cutting losses are minimized and evaluated via the block tests; · Cut a variety of all meat species into retail cuts; · Produce a range of butchery by products including minces and sausages etc.; · Minimize wastage of spice mixes and casings; · Control stock by doing stock rotations, ensuring meat is stored at applicable meat temperatures, maintain standard of product presentation and conduct spot check on range and how it is displayed; · Ensure that point of sale and pricing are adhered to as per company’s requirements and standard; · Must have equipment knowledge (able to operate and understand maintenance); · Ensure that equipment and facilities are cleaned and sanitized for the butchery section by maintaining proper hygiene standards and; · Ensure that all customer orders are produced to quality standards in the correct time; Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Ability to commute/relocate:
