The IIE’s Vega, Cape Town Campus has a vacancy for a Part-Time Academic Navigator (Lecturer) for the second semester in the following module:
- Motion Design Technology 3
- Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning.
- Prepare for lectures based on provided content. Supplement content with own expertise. Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours. Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback. Support student academic success by implementing workshops where needed. Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success. Provide content feedback. Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions.
Ideal:
- Honours or Master’s Degree in Digital Design, Multimedia Design, Motion Design, Interaction Design or Animation.
- Professional Portfolio to illustrate expertise in industry standard 3D animation software.
- Undergraduate qualification in a relevant design field, and an NQF 8 or higher qualification in Higher Education.
- Plus, Adobe and Autodesk Maya/ 3DS Max Certification.
- Advanced skills in 3D software such as Blender or 3DS Max and Adobe Creative Cloud Software, with experience in 3D animation. Minimum 2 years work experience using 3D software is required
