SCIENTIST/ SENIOR SCIENTIST (AQUACULTURE SITE MONITORING AND MANAGEMENT)

In this role, you will:
Plan and manage projects that support the sustainable expansion and intensification of aquaculture such as environmental monitoring and management of fish farming sites
Undertake activities related to aquaculture environmental data collection and interpretation
Identify knowledge or technology gaps related to monitoring and management of the aquaculture site conditions and develop solutions to address the gaps, including conduct of relevant R&D projects
Engage local and regional counterparts and specialists to address emerging issues related to the environmental sustainability of the aquaculture industry
Perform duties as required for the smooth implementation of the aquaculture environmental monitoring and management programmes
Our requirements:
Strong scientific or research background in aquaculture-related fields such as marine and environmental sciences, aquaculture engineering and digital technologies
Prior experience working in related fields will be an advantage
Proficient in computer software applications, good analytical skills and familiar with statistical methods
Prepared to work on weekends and after office hours when necessary
Able to work in the office and field/offshore environments, including onboard sea-going vessels
Team player with good writing, communication and interpersonal skills
