English Tutor (Part-Time/Full-Time)

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the curriculum to enhance students’ proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing, and listening).
Customize lesson plans according to the needs and learning styles of individual students.
Provide constructive feedback and monitor the progress of students, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
Prepare students for exams such as PSLE, GCE O/N-Level, and internal school tests/exams.
Foster a positive and encouraging classroom environment that motivates students to achieve their goals.
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians to update them on student progress and address any concerns.
Stay updated on the latest teaching methods and educational resources to continuously improve the learning experience.
Assist in curriculum development, when necessary, to meet the evolving needs of students.
Offer one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to reinforce concepts and provide additional support.

Job Requirements:

A degree in English, Education, or a related field (preferably).
Previous experience in teaching English or tutoring is an advantage.
Familiarity with the Singapore school curriculum (MOE syllabus).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in helping students achieve their academic goals.
Ability to teach students across different age groups, from primary to secondary.
Able to work on evenings and weekends to accommodate student needs.
Commitment to at least one academic year to ensure continuity and consistency in student learning.
