As a software development engineer on our team, you will apply the appropriate technologies and best practices to autonomously solve difficult problems. The Amazon Pi TRAWL team develops services dedicated to teams across the company to detect and classify Personal Identifying Information (PII) within their data stores through cutting-edge machine learning workflows. With a deep understanding of data privacy regulations and a commitment to building robust and scalable solutions, the Pi TRAWL team enables organizations to safeguard sensitive information while maximizing the value of their data assets. Their expertise lies in developing innovative techniques for automating PII detection, classification, and compliance, ensuring data security and regulatory adherence across diverse industries.
With a strong focus on scalability and performance, the Pi TRAWL team builds solutions that handle massive volumes of data while maintaining high accuracy and efficiency. Their solutions are designed to seamlessly integrate with existing data pipelines and workflows, minimizing disruption and enabling teams to quickly adopt and benefit from the team's innovations.

• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
• Experience developing data privacy solutions, including data handling techniques (e.g. anonymization, data scrubbing)
