Primary Purpose of the Position
The primary purpose the fleet management procurement manager is to oversee and manage the acquisition, maintenance, related services and utilization of Goodyear EMEA's car fleet & leased office facilities. The goal is to ensure that assets are acquired (lease or buy) cost-effectively, efficiently, and in alignment with the operational needs of the organization. This role ensures the car fleet & leased office facilities operate smoothly while balancing costs, quality, and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategy - development, Leadership alignment & execution (>1600 vehicles & 42 office leases). Responsible for the annual leased office capex plan (office fit-out's)
- Cost Management. Budgeting: Developing and managing the fleet procurement budget, ensuring that costs align with organizational financial targets. Cost Optimization: Identifying opportunities to reduce fleet-related costs through better pricing, leasing options, or vehicle lifecycle management.
- Supplier and Vendor Relationship Management / Supplier Development: Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality services, timely deliveries, and potential cost savings. Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitoring supplier performance, addressing any service issues, and adjusting as needed.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting. Fleet Performance Analysis: Monitoring fleet performance, including vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs, to identify areas for improvement.
- Reporting: Preparing and presenting reports to senior management on procurement activities, costs, fleet performance, and supplier relationships.
- Fleet Sustainability and Innovation. Sustainable Sourcing: Incorporating eco-friendly and energy-efficient vehicles into the fleet to support the organization’s sustainability goals. Technology Adoption: Exploring and adopting fleet management technologies (e.g., GPS tracking, telematics) to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business, Administration or related field
- Experience in Fleet Administration on an international level (2-3 years)
- Experience with outsourcing/PMO
- Experience in Strategic Procurement / category management (6-8 years minimum)
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Strong skills of SAP / VIM and MS Office (especially Excel and Power Point)
- Strong analytical skills
