How will you make an impact?

In this role, as a member of our finance team, you will be part of an internationally oriented team with colleagues across the entire Ewals organization. This team is constantly evolving through new projects and challenges. The beauty of this role is that you operate as a full-fledged business partner for the entity for which you are responsible as a Financial Controller. At the same time, you are directly part of a team with one fellow Financial Controller, led by a Finance Manager. Ownership is encouraged, and you are given the trust and freedom to take charge of your tasks and responsibilities. What will you do?

• Independently and timely deliver (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) financial reports, including payroll analyses, P&L deviations, and PB/PF reconciliations for various Ewals entities;
• Analyse and assess direct and indirect costs to ensure accuracy and compliance;
• Prepare and compile comprehensive balance sheets;
• Develop and set budgets and financial forecasts in consultation with management and budget holders;
• Timely submit reports to internal and external stakeholders;
• Proactively propose improvements to various processes and procedures;
• Contribute to the further rollout of a new financial system;
• Act as a business partner for your entity, thus contributing to increasing financial awareness within the organization. Additionally, you will be a partner for management, your fellow Financial Controllers, and Business Controllers.

Who are we looking for?

• You have completed a higher professional education in Finance & Control, Economics, or Business Administration;
• You have 3 years of work experience in financial reporting, preferably in a controlling department;
• You are good at listening to (internal) customers and can read between the lines. You know how to motivate others, are able to connect, and remain unflappable when necessary;
• You recognize opportunities beneficial to the organization and see it as a challenge to turn these into real successes; you take initiative and take responsibility to actively work on them;
• You have an open mind and view situations from different perspectives, recognizing connections between different components;
• You possess in-depth knowledge of Excel and can link various (financial) systems;
• Proficiency in accounting software (Netsuite Oracle experience would be a plus);
• You have a good command of both the Romanian and English languages.
