What you’ll do:
Maintain component data, manufacturer information & approved vendor lists in the component data base
Review and recommend substitute components for new designs for improvements in supply chain, design robustness and maintainability
Creation of BOM & BOL for NPIs
Treatment and implementation of Engineering Chane Notification (ECN)
Implement risk management strategies to address obsolescence and proactively identify and address future obsolescence
Lead cost reduction projects in design control.
Participate to component data analysis and failure identification-on supplier quality topics
Identify components in production line on request
Part of a cross-functional team in implementing product component changes within the Company
Provide guidance regarding part selection, design concepts, specification requirements, critical components and alternate sources.
Quality review of the component parameter attributes from datasheets
Create a component database for all the Electrical/Electronic & Indirect materials
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years experience in PCBA manufacturing processes
Technical University Electrotechnics/Electronics Engineering
Skills:
Good organization and technical communication skills to effectively monitor and convey component end-of-life (EOL) notifications and part change notifications (PCN’s) to Purchasing and Engineering.
Familiar with circuit design principles and board layout guidelines, identifying alternate parts and manufacturers.
Knowledge of SAP ERP system, Enovia is a plus
Knowledge of industrial regulations like Ro HS, REACH etc desirable
