A Snapshot of Your Day:
As a Design Engineer for High Voltage Electro-mechanical Equipment you will deliver primary/secondary engineering design packages adhering to manufacturing processes and specific technology while assisting in recommending and implementing new designs, design changes and processes to meet specific project and overall business requirements.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Deliver primary/secondary engineering design packages adhering to manufacturing processes and specific technology.
Prepare technical specifications, primary/secondary design layouts, civil guidance drawings, sub-assemblies, component drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM).
Analyze customer and industrial technical specifications to deliver high quality designs, drawings, and documents (consolidate technical documentation and build repository) in a timely manner.
Have or gain the ability to design, check and integrating primary layouts and component design with the aid of 3D modelling software.
Assist in recommending and implementing new designs, design changes and processes to meet specific project and overall business requirements.
Assist in material identification and specification.
Support and review supplier product and internal factory assembly queries from a technical point of view.
Perform double-checks on a predefined issue list for our orders for Schaltwerk Berlin.
Ensure that finalized orders are cross-verified between our tools.
Verify that the information in our drawings matches the Bill of Materials (BOM) in SAP.
Strong and reliable relation with Commercial/ Sales and Regional Departments.
What You Bring:
Degree in a Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering subject or relevant experience.
3 years of design experience with electro-mechanical equipment/ assembly.
Good comprehension of 2D and 3D designs (Auto CAD, Catia, Unigraphics NX). Ability to solve any 3D model inconsistency, by reviewing all available 2D drawing documentation.
General understanding of circuit diagrams and wiring plans (e.g. circuit breaker, motor drives, control cabinets)
Deep communication skills and motivation to get in contact with other persons via digital conversation or face2face
General experience in project execution or managing of projects (sub-projects) is welcome
General understanding in technical documents (e.g. electrotechnical specification), cost calculations and manuals
Understanding of Infoframe, 3D-Primtech-Model, and Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for electrical parts.
Proficiency in SAP and Agile methodologies.
Ability to oversee, think ahead, and use imagination.
Good knowledge of primary layouts and equipment drawings associated with HV electrical substations.
Have a working knowledge of gas insulated and air insulated switch gear and its design and operation principles it’s a plus.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Proactive approach, attention to details, structured, analytical mindset.
