Responsibilities:
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior Financial Expert to join our team based in Doha, Qatar.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of construction contracts and the financial regulations that govern construction projects.
We envisage success in this role to include:
- Overseeing and managing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Preparing and reviewing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Managing relationships with external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate audits in accordance with state audit bureau requirements.
- Collaborating with project managers to ensure financial practices align with construction contracts and project budgets.
- Ensuring compliance with central bank regulations and provide guidance on financing construction projects.
- Monitoring and assessing financial risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Leading and mentoring the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Staying updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance and best practices.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10+ years of relevant experience partnered with a Bachelor of Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA) is a plus.
Furthermore, you should demonstrate:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, with a focus on the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and financial regulations governing construction projects.
- Experience with state audit bureau audits and central bank audits.
- Proficient in financial software and tools; advanced Excel skills are required.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Experience in a senior financial role within a construction or engineering company (Preferable).
- Familiarity with project management principles and tools(Preferable).
- Knowledge of financial modeling and analysis(Preferable).
