Network and Security Engineer
We are actively seeking a Network and Security Engineer to enhance our team of experts. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of Cisco, ALE, HP, and Dell Switches/Firewalls & Servers operations and configurations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Network Design and Architecture: Develop and implement network infrastructure designs that meet organizational needs, ensuring compatibility and integration with Cisco, ALE, HP, and Dell equipment.
2. Security Measures: Install, configure, and manage firewalls and other network security devices to protect against unauthorized access and potential threats.
3. Network Configuration: Set up routers, switches, and other network devices, ensuring proper configuration and integration into the existing network environment.
4. Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor network performance to identify and resolve issues, ensuring system availability and reliability.
5. Maintenance and Upgrades: Perform network maintenance tasks, including applying service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
6. Incident Response: Actively monitor for and respond to network security incidents, coordinating with teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.
7. Policy Enforcement: Enforce network security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational directives.
8. Disaster Recovery Planning: Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery plans, ensuring network resilience in the face of disruptions.
9. Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, schematics, and flow charts for troubleshooting and resolving network issues
10. User Training: Educate and train users on network usage and security best practices to minimize risks and ensure efficient operation.
11. Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance within the organization, serving as a subject matter expert on network and security-related issues
12. Project Management: Manage assigned projects related to network and security enhancements, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet established objectives.
Candidate requirements,
· Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science with 2 to 5 years relevant work
· Cisco Qualifications, CCNA & CCNP is a must (CCIE certified will be a plus)
· Minimum of five years of experience in the implementation and operation of WAN/LAN networks with Cisco/DELL/ALE/HP hardware
· Minimum of two years of experience in the implementation and operation of Data Centre Networks
· Technical, analytical, interpersonal and organization skills
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: QAR3,000.00 – QAR4,200.00 per month
