Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team, including room attendants, laundry attendants, and public area cleaners
- Train and mentor new team members to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure they meet high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Monitor and maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed
- Collaborate with other departments, such as guest services and maintenance, to address any guest concerns or maintenance issues
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations
- Assist with scheduling and assigning duties to housekeeping team members, taking into account guest occupancy levels and special requests
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to promote a positive and productive work environment
- Participate in regular meetings with management to discuss housekeeping operations and make recommendations for improvements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a housekeeping supervisory role, preferably in a hospitality
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, equipment, and cleaning products
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Fluent in English, additional languages a plus
