Setting the tone for the guest's experience and facilitating smooth operations in the front-of-house. Key Responsibilities 1. Welcome guests warmly as they arrive at the restaurant, extending courteous greetings and providing assistance as needed. 2. Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus, and informing them of any specials or promotions. 3. Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, creating a positive first impression and setting the tone for their dining experience. 4. Manage guest seating assignments, ensuring efficient use of dining space and optimal table rotation to accommodate reservations and walk-in guests. 5. Maintain an accurate record of reservations, seating preferences, and special requests. 6. Communicate effectively with restaurant staff to coordinate table availability, seating arrangements, and service priorities. 7. Anticipate guest needs and preferences, proactively addressing any concerns or special requests to ensure a memorable dining experience. 8. Assist guests with coat check, seating adjustments, or other requests to enhance their comfort and satisfaction. 9. Answer phone calls and inquiries from guests regarding reservations, availability, and dining options. 10. Assist in managing reservation bookings, confirming reservations, and recording guest preferences and special requests. 11. Collaborate with restaurant management to optimize reservation scheduling and maximize seating capacity while ensuring an exceptional guest experience. 12. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the front-of-house area, including the host/hostess stand, lobby, and waiting area. 13. Coordinate with servers, and other staff members to ensure smooth service flow and timely seating of guests. 14. Communicate effectively with restaurant management and staff to address any issues or concerns related to guest seating and service. 15. Performs other duties assigned. Qualification, Experience & Knowledge -High School Diploma, or equivalent. -2 to 4 years previous experience as a hostess or in a customer service role, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting. -Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and outgoing demeanor. - Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, especially during busy dining periods. -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. -Professional appearance and demeanor. -Knowledge of restaurant reservation and procedures. - Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. - with valid Food Handling Certificate. - with valid QID and NOC. - Willing to start immediately.
