- Shape metal to hold the gems when making individual piece
- Examine and grade diamonds and other gems
- Create jewelry from gold and precious gemstones
- Make a model with carved wax or with computer-aided design, and then cast pieces with the model
- Solder pieces together and insert stones
- Repair jewelry by replacing broken clasps, altering ring sizes, or resetting stones
- Smooth joints and rough spots and polish smoothed areas
- Clean and polish jewelry using polishing wheels and chemical baths
- Detaching a rough cut of the jewel from the metal and placing the frame into a machine that does a rough finishing, and buffing the surface of the piece with increasingly fine abrasive to bring out the shine and remove uneven surfaces or fingerprints.
- Maintain and inspect tools regularly to achieve precise results
- Perform merchandise finishing and cleaning on all assigned orders according to company standards
- Request any needed parts, consumable material, tools or supplies according to established procedures
- Maintain all assigned parts, metals and scrap in a secure and organized fashion and according to established procedures.
- Provide assistance as needed throughout the workshop; perform alternate craft work as needed and as capable;
Pay: QAR2,000.00 per month
