GIS SPECIALIST
Duties:
1- Verify that the BIM model's coordinate system aligns with the desired GIS coordinate system.
2- Extract relevant spatial information from the BIM model, including:
* Geometry: Points, lines, and polygons representing building elements.
* Attributes: Properties associated with each element (e.g., material, usage, occupancy).
3- Export the extracted data into a GIS-compatible format, such as, geodatabase, and KML.
4- Check the converted data for accuracy and completeness.
5- Ensure the imported data aligns with the client’s geodatabase schema..
6- Add additional attributes to the GIS data from reports to fulfill client's requirements..
7- Create maps.
8- communicate the results to other team members and client if needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Proficiency in GIS software (Arc GIS, QGIS)
* Understanding of spatial data structures and formats
* Experience with CAD data and GIS integration capabilities preferred knowledge in BIM.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
