Job Description: Electrical Estimation Engineer Location: Al Wakrah Company: Prime Veritas Job Summary the Electrical Estimation Engineer is responsible for accurately estimating the cost, materials, and labor required for electrical projects. This role involves analyzing project specifications, conducting site visits, and preparing detailed cost estimates to support project bidding and execution. The Electrical Estimation Engineer works closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive project proposals. Key Responsibilities: Project Evaluation: Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to understand the scope of work. Conduct site visits and assess existing electrical systems and conditions. Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact the project's cost estimation. Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical projects, including materials, labor, and equipment. Utilize cost estimation software and databases to enhance accuracy. Consider factors such as local regulations, codes, and industry standards. Material Procurement: Collaborate with procurement teams to source and obtain price quotes for electrical materials and equipment. Evaluate suppliers and negotiate pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness. Labor Analysis: Estimate the labor hours required for the project based on the scope and complexity. Determine labor costs, including wages, benefits, and overhead expenses. Bid Preparation: Prepare bid documents, proposals, and cost breakdowns for submission to clients or contractors. Ensure that bids are competitive and in line with project requirements. Communication and Collaboration Work closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and other team members to clarify project details and requirements. Communicate cost estimates and findings to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies to improve the accuracy of cost estimates. Implement feedback and lessons learned from previous projects to refine the estimation process. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. Proven experience in electrical project estimation, preferably in a similar role. Proficiency in using estimation software and tools. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and codes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. Qualifications/Experience: 3 Plus years of experience. Bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering or a related field. Proven experience as an Electrical Estimation Engineer or in a similar role in the construction industry. Proficiency in estimation software and tools. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
