We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Portuguese Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. In this role, you will play a key part in fostering a love for the Portuguese language and culture, while helping students develop strong language skills.
About the Role:
Deliver engaging and effective Portuguese language instruction, aligned with the Cambridge Lower Secondary, IGCSE, IB Portuguese B curricula, and other international programmes.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Portuguese language lessons.
- Create a nurturing teaching environment that promotes active, enquiry-based learning.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism in terms of punctuality, behaviour, work expectations, and setting of homework.
- Reflect on and refine teaching practices to ensure continuous improvement.
- Be committed to ongoing professional development, both individually and as part of school-wide initiatives.
- Produce high-quality resources to support student learning.
- Participate in school events and special occasions, as required by the Head of School or line manager.
- Set and mark exams, assignments, and other forms of assessment.
- Undertake any additional reasonable tasks as determined by the Head of School or line manager.
