CBRE’s Investment Accounting and Reporting Solutions is offering fully integrated real estate property accounting and fund administration services to developers, investors and asset managers. We pair deep real estate accounting expertise with industry-leading technology to tailor global and local accounting and reporting solutions for distinct portfolios, optimizing operations and reducing risk.
We are looking for a regional Treasury Director who is responsible for managing bank account administration and end to end payments process for our clients in the EMEA and APAC. The role requires close collaboration with all departments within the IA&R organization as well as with new and existing clients. Together with your operational managers, you will lead an international team based throughout EMEA who performs and monitors vendor management, invoice processing, payment processing, bank account management, adherence to client delegations of authority and ongoing process improvements. In addition, you will support your team to monitor and address backlogs, manage exceptions, ensure audit compliance and liaise with clients, internal service providers for outsourced services, vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure satisfactory delivery of service across EMEA and APAC.
What are your main responsibilities?
- Manage the EMEA Payments team-(Approx 18 people) to ensure payments are processed accurately, according to procedures and timely.
- Manage Bank Account Management team (approx..5 people) to ensure bank accounts are getting opened and closed timely to meet client expectations. Build relationships with all partner banks.
- Co-ordinate smooth onboarding of Bank accounts and Payments services in alignment with target operating model to new clients and existing clients who are growing their portfolios in collaboration with Client Onboarding and Client Servicing teams
- Lead the team to complete fully automated payment processes across all client banks by the use of Kyriba.
- Lead client pricing model discussions and track statistics to ensure client SOW matches actual activity.
- Monitor client payment statistics to proactively identify gaps in the process.
- Review Treasury processes and recommend improvements to eliminate manual work and increase efficiency.
- Implementation lead for any new Treasury initiative, including training the team on new processes introduced
- Treasury lead for all client meetings in EMEA and APAC region.
- Ensure ongoing compliance to all (SOC1) audit requirements
- Regularly meet with all Treasury employees to get feedback on processes, keep morale high, and mentor for their own career development.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven leader to a large team that varies in experience
- 10 year Treasury experience in banking and payments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. English is a must, other European languages considered a plus.
- Strong organizational and analytical skill
- Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers
- Ability to effectively present information.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and interact effectively with management, employees, banking partners, external auditors and clients.
- Stress resistance and ability to work under high time pressure thriving in a high-pace environment
- Experience in the organization providing financial services for external clients is a plus
- Yardi and Kyriba experience is preferred
- 2 days per week in the office
