HID is currently looking for an intern to join our Operations Solutions (OS) Team and be part of our successful journey. During your internship you will work with our Engineers and get the opportunity to learn from the highly qualified staff. We expect you to support our verification engineers with all aspects of testing and quality control. As part of the team, you will contribute to work required to successfully release a product, including assistance in manual testing, test automation, reporting and investigating bugs, writing test documentation. We expect you to share our agile values, be motivated, focused, take initiative, and remain eager to learn. You will work as part of a team and independently. The candidate will report to a local Solution QA Manager and part of a team dedicated to QA.

As our Software and Test Engineer Intern, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Designing and performing manual tests for our Web Apps
- Reporting and retesting defects
- Supporting automated regression testing
- Preparing test reports
- Learning and contributing to test automation (Framework based on Python, Web UI-Playwright/Selenium, Web API)
- Work closely with the project teams on identifying, reproducing and resolving software problems
- Assess Solutions quality and ensure that all major bugs are remediated before release
What we will love about your background:
- Basic skills in databases and cloud technologies
- Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Soap UI/Postman, Selenium/Playwright, Jira/Confluence, and Test Rai
Your Experience and Education include:
- Active student status
- Experience with Python
- Basic knowledge of automation and test frameworks
- Experience testing web-based applications and portals
- Willingness to learn new testing techniques
- Fast learner with a keen interest in software testing and QA
- Strong attention to detail
- Minimum availability of 20 hours per week for at least 14 weeks
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
