Brown Brothers Harriman is seeking an Application Infrastructure Technical Support Analyst. The analyst will maintain, support, patch and implement Linux applications which support the BBH Data Governance platform and Data Virtualization platform. The platforms are key components in the overall Data Platform eco system integrating with BBH in-house developed data virtualization applications.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Linux application maintenance and support, not OS maintenance
- Applying vendor application service packs
- Upgrading vendor software to new release(s)
- Reviewing system performance and cluster resources
- Document and compose application support run book
- Creating, submitting, and tracking vendor support tickets
- Collaborate with distributed Systems teams (DBA, Operating Systems, Application Production Support)
Qualifications for your role must include:
- 3 – 5 yrs of hands-on experience in IT supporting and maintaining Linux operating systems
- Linux shell script programming
- Web Sphere clustered deployments
- LDAP security authentication
- Infrastructure backup and recovery
- Experience with SDLC best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- Working knowledge of architectural principles, infrastructure engineering and integration
- Communication skills – both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-driven, work independently and across teams
Nice To Have:
- Working experience in a financial industry is a plus
- Understanding REST API integration
- Hand-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL programming
- Experience working with Git, Jira, and Agile methodologies
