Senior Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to spearhead our business growth efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. You will work closely with senior leadership, marketing, and sales teams to develop and execute strategies that align with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company growth targets. Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, partnerships, and potential clients.
  • Client Acquisition: Lead efforts to acquire new clients and expand existing accounts. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the sales team to create and execute effective sales strategies and campaigns. Provide guidance and support to drive sales performance and achieve revenue goals.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities. Use insights to refine business development strategies.
  • Partnership Development: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance business opportunities and drive mutual growth.
  • Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations and manage the sales cycle from initial contact to final agreement. Ensure favorable terms and conditions that align with company objectives.
  • Reporting: Track and report on business development activities, pipeline status, and revenue performance. Provide regular updates to senior management on progress and outcomes.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior business development staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and acquiring new clients.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of [specific industry or domain relevant to your company, e.g., technology, healthcare, finance]. Experience in [specific area, if relevant] is a plus.
  • Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies. Strong negotiation and closing skills with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to drive business growth. Proven experience in identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present ideas and strategies clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Networking: Strong networking skills with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Leadership Experience: Experience leading and mentoring a business development or sales team.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and business intelligence tools. Understanding of data-driven sales strategies.
  • Global Experience: Experience in international business development or managing global accounts.
