Preparing high quality meals for customers from the menu and ensuring food is served in good time and well presented
Helping to manage any kitchen staff, motivating and inspiring them to prepare, cook and serve high quality food
Working alongside the Front of House Supervisor to ensure good working relationships are maintained between kitchen and table waiting staff, within a fast-paced and pressurised environment
Working with the management team to develop menus using fresh, good quality and healthy ingredients for the café including meal ideas for special events
Assisting with menu pricing
Overseeing the preparation of food ensuring they match menu specifications and meet the quality standard and presentation
Assisting with design and advice of kitchen remodelling where necessary
Adhering to Food Safety Standards, maintaining high levels of cleanliness in the kitchen at all times – we expect to maintain a 5* Hygiene rating at all times
Keeping accurate records, including food hygiene records according to regulators guidance, staff time sheets etc, and provide performance reports as required by the management team
