Here is your chance to find out as Service Tec, the leading independent provider of managed IT services to the aviation industry, has an exciting recruitment opportunity for a part-time Airport IT Technician at Oslo Gardermoen Airport in Norway. If you are looking for a challenge whereby no two days are the same, then this position may be for you!!
This is a part time position and requires on-site shift work on alternate weekends between 05:00 and 18:00 on Saturdays and 05:00 - 20.00 on Sundays.
You will also be needed to occasionally cover sickness absence and/or holiday for the Monday to Friday shifts, including working public holidays if it falls on a weekday. There is also the requirement to be on-call and respond to issues. Occasionally there is also the opportunity to travel to other airports in Norway and Europe for short periods to assist with projects.
The work involves providing deskside user support, resolving issues, performing preventative maintenance, installations and project work. This work is predominantly performed at the Airport check-in and departure gates.
Due to the shift hours involved, ideally candidates should reside close to Oslo Gardermoen Airport.
Individuals must have a technical mind, IT knowledge, excellent customer service skills and have first-hand experience of dealing with a variety of customers in a fast paced and pressurised environment.
Experience and Knowledge Requirements
Excellent customer service skills.
Good communication skills.
Fluent in both Norwegian and English.
Experience working in airports is preferred, but not a requirement.
Knowledge and/or certification in the following is advantageous:
Desktops and PC hardware support.
Repairing, installing and configuring printers.
Microsoft Operating Systems.
Flexible with working hours.
Driving licence and access to your own transport to get to the airport when public transport is not running.
