Store Manager

SURAHIL WATERWAYS LIMITED is seeking a Store Manager for our gas station in Whitianga Waikato. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations and ensuring the smooth running of the business while fulfilling the following responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all aspects of store operations to ensure smooth day-to-day running.
Manage procurement activities, maintaining optimal inventory levels and conducting routine stock audits to prevent shortages.
Source new suppliers and negotiate promotions, pricing, and supply agreements for better business deals.
Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies, including in-store promotions, to enhance product visibility and increase sales.
Set product prices and plan promotional offers to ensure gross profit margins are achieved.
Introduce new product lines to diversify the store’s offerings and boost revenue.
Manage recruitment, training, performance reviews, and, when necessary, staff terminations to ensure a high-performing team.
Prepare and manage the store’s budget to meet financial goals.
Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and process returns in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure accurate pricing of stock to maintain profit margins.
Oversee daily banking activities and manage business accounts.
Work collaboratively with the team to achieve set objectives and business targets.
Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to improve their skills and performance.
Motivate staff with incentives to drive productivity and create a positive work environment.
Always Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and store policies.

Required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and be paid between $30 to $33 per hour.
Other important requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience or minimum Level 6 qualification in business management.
Available to work in a rostered shift.
Availability to work on weekends.
Availability to work on night shifts if required.
Physically fit to be able to stand for longer hours.
