Job Description
A Part Time opportunity for a responsible and effective leader: Sofitel Queenstown Hotel & Spa is a 5 star Award Winning property situated in our beautiful town centre. Within the role you will be effectively undertaking the daily reconciliation of the Hotel’s trading, including the checking and preparation of reports and statistical information. You will ensure smooth and efficient running of the Hotel's overnight operation, along with maintaining luxury standards for guests as well being responsible for the safety and security of the property.
Complete thorough audits of all daily revenue and postings, making the necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy of reporting.
Collate paperwork for departures, including credit card and company charges to be forwarded to Accounts department.
Complete relevant computer tasks in relation to Night Audit functions, including posting room charges and daily room revenue.
Prepare and distribute relevant reports. Maintain hotel weekly and monthly statistics.
Ensure the safety and security of the property and the smooth and efficient running of the Hotel's overnight operation.
Carry out reception duties in case of any late arrivals or early departure, taking future reservations or answer guest’s inquiries.
Provide support to the Food and Beverage operation, ensuring room service requests are timely and of the highest quality.
Assist with any overnight housekeeping requests
Supervise night cleaner duties, ensuring all are completed to the required standard.
Qualifications
You will harness your luxury attitude, with humble excellence, a distinguished presence, and elevated emotional intelligence. Your pride and passion will be complemented by:
Minimum 6 months experience in a similar role or in a leadership role, preferably including 5 star experience
Knowledge of Opera or a similar property management system.
Up-to-date Manager Certificate would be advantageous
Full, clean New Zealand driving license, preferably with manual driving licence
Ability to train and develop team members
First aid certificate would be viewed as favourable
You will need to hold working rights for New Zealand
