Massage Therapist – Part Time / Full Time Position
Location: Serenity Wellness Centre, Hamilton East
Hours: Flexible hours depending on shifts 25-40 Hours/Week
Remuneration $35.00 - $42.00 per hour (Based on skill level and qualifications.)

Join Serenity Wellness Centre, a holistic wellness hub in Hamilton East, offering a wide range of therapies, including Floatation Therapy, Massage Therapy, Infrared Sauna, Cold Plunge, Personal Training, and Life Coaching.
We work closely and frequently communicate with other health practitioners including Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Personal Trainers, General Practitioners, Sports Physicians and Surgeons.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Complementary Wellness Therapist to provide a variety of complementary health services in our wellness-focused environment. This role is ideal for professionals who have expertise in Massage Therapy with a commitment to fostering both client and personal well-being.
What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for one or more therapists with the following qualifications and experience:

Massage Therapist:
NZQA Diploma (Level 6) or Degree (Level 7) in Therapeutic Massage or equivalent.
Registration with Massage New Zealand (Massage NZ) (essential).
A current First Aid Certificate .
Strong theoretical knowledge in Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, and the Theory of Massage.
Minimum of 100 supervised massage clinical hours during training or post-graduation.
Commitment to Continued Professional Development (CPD).
Ability to work independent and as a team member
May include offsite work at events

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive client assessments to determine treatment requirements and implement therapeutic approaches.
Provide a range of therapies based on your qualifications, including therapeutic, deep tissue, sports, or relaxation massage and remedial.
Experience in any of the following specialty's - Hot stone, Chocolate, Cupping, Thai, Shiatsu, Tui Na, Mirimiri and Romiromi would be of an advantage
Maintain thorough client records, including health history and progress.
Set up treatment rooms and ensure a clean, safe, and inviting environment.
Offer guidance on post-treatment care, stretching, posture, and overall wellness tips.
Actively participate in ongoing professional development and training to expand the range of services offered.
Work collaboratively with a passionate team to foster a welcoming and healing environment for clients.

Additional Details:

Flexible shifts: Clinic is open Tuesday - Friday (9.30am - 8pm) and Saturday (9:30am - 4pm).
Must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
Expected weekly hours: 25–40 dependant on shifts.
