THE ROLE
As the Programme Lead, you’ll be accountable for leading the successful programme delivery (including the projects within your programme) by providing strategic and operational support, including sound programme and project management, operational reporting, financial tracking, risk and issue tracking, quality control and post-project benefits tracking and reporting.
You are passionate about delivering successful outcomes for the business, developing people (coaching and mentoring) and building the skills and capability of the wider delivery team, enabling them to understand how to deliver successful outcomes.
You’ll leverage relationships in the telecommunications and/or infrastructure industries to achieve our growth ambitions.
WHAT YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR
  • Developing a plan and strategy to successfully execute the programme (including the projects within your programme) and any associated activities.
  • Have in depth knowledge of all contractual terms and conditions related to the project/programme delivery.
  • Be actively involved in price development/review processes and have a detailed understanding of assumptions, exclusions and inclusions behind it.
  • Successfully managing the programme (including the projects within your programme) and associated activities across multiple technology disciplines.
  • Inspecting and reviewing the programme daily to monitor progress, compliance with processes and ensure quality control and financial tracking.
  • Collecting, consolidating and analysing the programme, project and activities data to support effective decision-making.
  • Monitoring and reporting on compliance with established standards to ensure the organisation adheres to agreed policies and standards.
  • Reporting on financials: budget estimates, progress and cost tracking.
  • Taking action and developing a plan to deal with the programme-related risks and issues.
  • Contributing to establishing a standard set of practices, processes, and templates for managing the programme consistently and efficiently to reduce programme-related risk and costs.
  • Contributing to the establishment of standard practices, tools, and templates for programme and project management
  • Modelling best practice Programme and Project Management for Entelar Group Project Managers.
  • Undertaking client management and reporting across the programme.
  • Promoting and driving a robust Health and Safety culture within Entelar Group that supports a culture that values and promotes health and safety.
  • Undertaking and supporting other duties and projects from time to time as appropriate and requested by the business, Portfolio Lead or Chief Delivery Officer.
WHAT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU NEED
  • Qualifications. Relevant tertiary qualification, Project management qualifications (CAPM, PMP, MPI-ACP, PMI-RMP, MSP or similar) would be advantageous.
  • Industry Experience. Previous telecommunications or infrastructure experience would be advantageous, ideally with robust financial reporting, cost management and process improvement experience, knowledge of key business drivers, and use of business productivity tools (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point and Power BI).
  • Programme Management Experience. Substantial programme management experience in a similar role (>5 years). Demonstrable experience in the management of programmes exceeding $40m.
  • Negotiation. The ability to prepare, negotiate and present complex delivery proposals to existing and potential customers.
  • Collaboration. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, sharing your knowledge and passions, growing your teams’ capability and removing barriers to performance. High level of interpersonal skills with an ability to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Communication. Outstanding communication skills in all formats, including the ability to make complex and complicated, simple and understandable. Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare consolidated management reports, work papers and business cases.
  • Stakeholder management. Proven partnering and stakeholder management capabilities and experience i.e., working effectively within and across teams and functions within a large organisation.
  • Social and relationship skills. A people person, able to build rapport and constructive working relationships with diverse groups of people.
  • Resilience and growth mindset. Operates with a growth mindset, being willing to embrace challenges, persist in the face of setbacks and seek learnings from every opportunity.
  • Independent and proactive. A positive, energetic and productive person with a bias for action and getting things done.
  • Judgement & problem-solving. Big picture thinker, able to exercise sound judgement and use strong transaction management and problem-solving skills to drive matters to conclusion.
