Permanent Sales Assistant - Hardware

Mitre 10 MEGA Whangarei is a locally owned, dynamic and growing company, with a vision to provide outstanding customer service, great quality products and the best value and expertise to enable our customers to have an easy DIY experience. This is your chance to grow your career within our ‘big box’ format store and be part of a passionate and committed team.
We are looking for a high energy individual who is a sales superstar with exceptional hardware knowledge, experience with power tools, practical DIY and a passion for customer service.
This is a permanent position 40 hours per week that requires availability for at least one day in the weekend.

If you have:

A passion for sales and prior sales experience in a similar environment is a must
A passion for providing excellent customer service and always putting the customer first
The ability to remain cool under pressure and be able to think on your feet
Storewide knowledge and experience to be able to offer customers solutions
Great communication and computer skills
A can do positive attitude with the ability to problem solve
Are a high energy individual with the ability to cope well in a very fast paced environment
Previous experience in hardware and/powertool sales would be advantageous
You MUST be physically fit as heavy lifting is a key requirement
Immediate start preferred
