Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of our R35 GTR drag racing program to achieve our goal of running a 6-second 1/4 mile pass in excess of 220mph.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on all aspects of the R35 GTR, with a particular focus on the GR6 transmission, Billet Block VR38 engines, Motec M150 ECU, and ECU Tek software.
Collaborate with the team to optimise drag set-ups and dyno tuning, using our Mainline 4600 Pro Hub 4WD Hub Dyno.
Work with international drag teams to identify and implement the latest techniques and technologies for R35 GTR drag racing.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of suspension, drag slicks, and tire pressures, and provide recommendations to improve vehicle performance. Advising Our Customers in the right choices for what they require in their build and working within their budget range also.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience working with the R35 GTR platform and in-depth knowledge of its mechanics and systems.
Proven experience in drag racing and motorsport, with a track record of working with international drag teams on the R35 GTR platform.
Extensive knowledge of the GR6 transmission, Motec M150 ECU, and ECU Tek software.
Familiarity with the Mainline 4600 Pro Hub 4WD Hub Dyno, and the ability to set up and optimise dyno tuning.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues.
Passionate about drag racing and motorsport, with a willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest developments and techniques in the field.
Product knowledge with international brands Alpha logic, AMS, ETS, and T1R Racing and what combinations work in real life conditions focusing on maximum power output and also
reliability.
Experience with ethanol and methanol fuelled vehicles.
Employment is permanent and is for a minimum of 40hrs a week between 8am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday.
Pay rate offered is $40 to $42 per hour, depending on experience.
Applicants may be required to work some weekends, evenings and public holidays.
Heavy lifting is required.
