COMMUNITY BASED SUPPORT WORKER - Independent Living Service – Dunedin (Ōtepoti)
Full Time – 32-40 Daytime Hours per week (Includes one weekend day)
Hourly Pay Rate: Up to $29.10 (depending on qualifications)

Are you keen to make a difference for the people in your community while working sociable hours? Do you want permanent set hours each week, with only one later evening likely?
The Independent Living team at Community Care Trust is seeking a dynamic individual with a can-do attitude to join their team on a full-time basis. The role involves supporting individuals one-on-one to achieve their goals both in their homes and within the community, and is based out of our local Support Centre as part of a team of 35 Support Workers. This position offers a positive, varied, and supportive team environment where every day brings new challenges and the opportunity to work with multiple different people over your work day.
Key Responsibilities:

Building rapport and positive relationships with the people we support.

Working alongside individuals to achieve their goals.

Supporting people to access the local community and build their support network.

Completing competency-based trainings to enhance skills and qualifications.

Participating in regular shifts, including one weekend day, with set hours and two permanent consecutive days off per week.

Completing administration tasks relating to support.

Requirements:

Hold a full current New Zealand driver’s license.

Be eligible to work in New Zealand

Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to complete one at our cost.

Willingness to undergo vetting as part of the organisation’s commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable people.
