Established in 1953 Cullen Engineering is a long-standing name in the NZ engineering industry. In recent years we have expanded our operation to include several new services including CNC laser cutting, waterjet cutting, plasma cutting and CNC press brake folding. Our dedicated profiling workshop is based in Paeroa. The shop is equipped with reliable high quality and modern machinery allowing us to provide our clients with quality cut and folded components. The profiling team work closely together to ensure that we exceed client expectations in service and quality. We have two permanent full-time roles available in our Paeroa workshop for CNC Setters. Our standard working week is 45hrs from Monday to Friday on either a morning or afternoon shift. Extra hours are available depending on workload. This position requires the safe and efficient setting and programming of CNC machinery. The primary focus of the position will be setup and programming of our Laser, Pressbrake, Waterjet and Plasma cutters. This includes tool selection, fitting, calibration, diagnosis, and monitoring to ensure machines are operating at optimum efficiency. Job requirements Candidates for this role must possess the following key skills and attributes.
Minimum of three years’ experience setting and programming CNC machinery or relevant tertiary qualification
Ability to read and work with engineering drawings.
A proactive attitude.
Commitment to safe work practices.
Desire and ability to learn new skills.
Ability to work well as part of a small team.
Excellent time keeping and problem-solving skills.
Able to complete work to a high standard with minimal supervision.
Attention to detail so tasks are completed right first time.
Excellent housekeeping skills
Forklift and/or gantry crane experience is an advantage.
