The Maintenance & Repair Control Officer is responsible for monitoring repairs to the CMA CGM container fleet. The M&R Control Officer orders the various depots within the network to carry out repairs, always bearing in mind that the depots work within certain deadlines and as cost-efficiently as possible.
About the role
Your responsibilities focus primarily on being responsible for the M&R settlement of the CMA CGM container fleet in the following areas within the network: Belgium, Netherlands, France, Germany and Switzerland.
More specifically,
Evaluates and assesses the different repair estimates and decides on the further trajectory of the container such as repair, claim, evacuate, off-hire, sell.
Scheduling physical surveys or audits at our depots
Be the spokesperson of Maintenance and Repair matters for Sales / Customer Services departments, customers, depots and terminals
Monitor and Maintain of the M&R cost for all locations within Benelux and Rhine area
Visiting depots to discuss our CMA CGM M&R procedures
Ensures rate and estimate integration within the CMA CGM M&R system
We are looking for individuals that have:
HBO level educational background
The M&R person should have a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in Maintenance and Repair and therefore knowledge of container, reefer and unit repairs
Education IICL5 or IICL6 is a pre
General knowledge of and experience within the maritime industry
Effective communication skills (Ability to articulate various business scenarios with customers, senior business leaders & middle management)
Great customer facing skills with ability to build and nurture relationships
Demonstration of professional demeanor, positive attitude, and ability to manage stress through challenging situations.
Fluent in Dutch, English and preferably also French
