As an HR Business Partner, you will contribute to maintaining and growing this positive work environment, where everyone can develop optimally. You will take charge, show ownership of the HR themes assigned to you, and coordinate on different levels. Additionally, you will think and work on HR spearheads across WUR and closely collaborate with specialists from the HR Centre of Expertise for Recruitment, Vitality & Health, and Learning & Development.
Within the Animal Sciences Group in Wageningen, you (along with your colleagues) will be responsible for handling HR issues and addressing HR themes.
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
- acting as a sparring partner and advisor for managers on individual and team case studies;
- contributing to the HR agenda and being (co-)responsible for the successful implementation of HR policies;
- thinking along and taking an active role in the development and execution of strategic personnel plans and organizational issues;
- contributing to the further development of an agile organization and an environment where employees can develop and excel;
- contributing to appropriate and high-quality HR services for your organizational unit.
You will collaborate with the HR team of the Animal Sciences Group, consisting of 7 colleagues spread across locations in IJmuiden, Lelystad, and Wageningen. As a team, we work organization-wide for both the university component and the contract research departments. We work closely together on current topics in the field of personnel and organizational development, team and leadership development, labor market issues, social safety, activity-related work, vitality, and career development, including attracting and retaining talented colleagues.
Where you will work
You will work for the Animal Sciences Group units in Wageningen, and as an HR team, we also jointly tackle issues for the entire Animal Sciences Group. The Animal Sciences Group (ASG) of Wageningen University & Research (WUR) consists of Wageningen Livestock Research, Wageningen Bioveterinary Research, Wageningen Marine Research, and the Department of Animal Sciences at Wageningen University. The core activities of the Animal Sciences Group are scientific and practice-oriented research, academic education, and the development of (animal) production systems and innovations. ASG operates in the broad field of wild and production animals, from animal ecology to fisheries and aquaculture, from animal nutrition to animal management and animal systems, from animal disease control to food safety.

We offer, depending on your experience, a competitive gross salary of between €3.221,- and €5.202,- for a full-time working week of 36 hours, in accordance with the CLA Wageningen Research (scale 10). The position is for 28-32 hours per week. Initially, we offer you a one-year contract, which will be extended upon mutual enthusiasm and favorable business conditions.
