About the Role: We are seeking a talented and ambitious Content Writer to take ownership of our Substack publication, The Big Byte. Launched this year, The Big Byte aims to become a leading source of people & (executive) talent insights for Europe’s technology ecosystem, offering a unique perspective on company growth, the people behind the success stories, and valuable benchmarks and trends drawn from past data. As we expand in 2025 and beyond, you will be instrumental in scaling up our content, producing both long-form and short-form pieces that resonate with our audience of founders, investors, and executives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Content Strategy & Development: Collaborate with senior consultants to define content themes and strategies that align with our mission.
- Manage The Big Byte: Own the growth and content development of our Substack, publishing long-form and short-form pieces on a monthly basis.
- Research & Insights: Conduct deep dives into the start-up and scale-up landscape through data analysis, news tracking, and interviews with executives, founders, and investors.
- Narrative Building: Formulate hypotheses, develop narratives, and support your writing with data-driven insights and well-researched arguments.
- Storytelling: Synthesize large volumes of information into compelling stories that engage and inform our readers, positioning The Big Byte as a thought leader in the industry on talent and people topics.
Who We’re Looking For:
- High Standards of Excellence: You have a keen eye for quality and consistently produce work that meets or exceeds expectations.
- Independent & Proactive: While you’ll have guidance, you’re expected to take initiative, create plans, and execute autonomously to achieve content goals.
- Analytical Mindset: You can navigate and analyze semi-structured data, identifying key insights even from large datasets like Excel sheets. While advanced statistical skills are not required, an ability to work your way confidently through a large Excel sheet is required.
- Relationship Builder: Your role will involve engaging with leaders in the tech ecosystem on sensitive topics, requiring the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
