Position: Construction Superintendent
Department: Resort Operations
Reports To: Project Manager
SUMMARY of POSITION
Oversees construction operations, including architectural plan and budget, schedule, and quality adherence. Manages subcontractors, purchasing, and contracts, as well as evaluating all phases of facilities construction.

SUMMARY of POSITION
Oversees construction operations, including architectural plan and budget, schedule, and quality adherence. Manages subcontractors, purchasing, and contracts, as well as evaluating all phases of facilities construction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the day-to-day on-site management of construction activities including maintaining the project progress schedule, coordinating work with internal resources and subcontractors, and preparing material takeoffs.
- Daily communications of all on site activities, issues, and progress to the Project
- Working with Project Manager to ensure projects costs, schedule and quality are maintained.
- Establishes change orders, budget modifications and new schedule goals.
- Conduct weekly project meetings to coordinate and communicate project status.
- Be responsible for maintaining and enforcing jobsite safety.
- Assist in shop drawings and submittal process.
- Assist Project Manager in maintaining project records including all current plans, RFI’s specifications, submittals, construction change directives, and change orders.
- Complies with local environmental and safety regulations, as well as Divi Resorts standards/procedures.
- Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.
- Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
- Proven experience as construction superintendent.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material.
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
- At least three years of construction experience.
