Finance Associate
General Description
Support the site finance team with the AP accounting transactions. Provide value added analytics to support decision making by preparing and reviewing financial information and periodic reporting. Participate in initiatives to improve processes and create efficiencies. Meanwhile maintain a strong and healthy compliance environment to ensure all the financial controls are in place.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute to the completion of finance department projects, manage time to meet agreed targets and maintain task lists and status updates.
- Manage AP accounting transactions & invoice processing and ensure timely payments of suppliers.
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the site and assist in monthly closing activities.
- Prepare financial and accounting analysis proactively and accurately to support the business in meeting and exceeding financial commitments.
- Maintain strong partnership with internal stakeholders and Finance Operations teams (GFS, GBS and COE) on finance related matters.
- Interact with the financial partners (banks) and local tax authorities for business related tasks.
- Provide proactive ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision making.
- Maintain an unwavering commitment to compliance and financial controls.
- Provide ad hoc periodic reporting and carry out ad hoc tasks assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- 1-3 years of experience in Finance
- Good oral and written English communication skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and effective use of other Microsoft Office products
- Strong ability to cope with changes, ability to prioritize tasks, detail orientated, able to multitask and work to deadlines.
Nice to have
- Working experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- SAP
