Unit/ Division/ Department/ Section: Field Services
JOB PURPOSE:
Manage Field projects with Supervision and installation scope and ensure that all the work is completed in line with the Contract parameters and standard FPI quality requirements and within the committed Budget & dates as agreed with the Clients.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Contract Scope
Ensure that the segregation of scope as per contract is noted by all parties for a smooth workflow
Verify & review the company’s approved matrix to ensure proper arrangement of manpower & material for the execution of the project
Raise issues regarding clause conflicts to provide solutions prior to project execution
Costing and Contract reviews
Approve installation work estimates as per the company’s standards
Approve scope of works and related conditions
Ensure contract clauses are in line with the offered terms and conditions
Ensure that the segregation of scope as per contract is noted by all parties for a smooth workflow
Review the company’s approved matrix and ensure the availability of resources for the execution of the project
Provide appropriate technical back-up
Review end-users specifications, define data collection parameters and obtain information from internal and external sources to support the development of conceptual design options
Provide the highest standard of customer service and technical support to staff and customers on project activities
Support Client site team during construction / commissioning
Identify, define and solve problems related to Field services
Planning and Control of Site Work Activities
Implement and control site execution in order to meet schedules on time
Allocate sufficient manpower to ensure all tasks meet quality and productivity requirements
Coordinate activities so outputs meet budget requirements and quality standards
Hand over project by following the closure process based on set targets and schedule
Field Services
Endorse installation plan, review and approve method statements & site ITP
Approve the team allocation and ensure that all employees are thoroughly trained and motivated to perform their duties up to the standards
Assess the department resources and develop succession plan and department budget
Monitor Site Work
Check & review sites “Work Progress” reports on a day today basis
Always maintain close contact with the site team to sort out any problems that might arise
Ensure all site commitments are completed on time, to the quality standards and within budget
Ensure that all sub-contracts with 3rd party contractors are written to achieve the best results for the Company and meet the time schedules of the Client
Documentation & Records
Have all site reports filled according to the Site Quality Plan
Ensure all activities are documented by Field Supervisors to meet company and audit requirements
Produce monthly project status for management review
Provide all required documentation for client invoice
Control of Tools and Equipment/ Asset Inventories
Ensure all tools are returned in good condition after completion of the assigned project
Control the department Assets and submit the yearly capex
Teamwork & Employee Excellence
Enhance work environment to promote and drive employee engagement and team effectiveness
Conduct annual performance appraisals and provide staff feedback regarding strengths, areas for improvements and development opportunities
Establish KPI’s for individual units and ensure that they are aligned with FPI’s mission and vision
HSE
Comply with relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions
Use personal protective equipment and safety gear when performing assigned tasks
Keep operational areas clean and well organized to prevent incidents and accidents
Report unsafe acts, incidents or safety violations
Develop a safety culture by ensuring all staff comply with HSE policies and procedures
Participate in QHSE audits, incident reporting and review of QHSE performances as required
SPAN OF COMMUNICATION
Internal: Line Managers, Projects, Production, Delivery, VETM, Bidding &Proposal, Sales, Technology and QC Departments
External: End Users, Contractors, Subcontractors, Third Party Inspectors
JOB RELEVANT INFORMATION (BOUNDARIES & DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY)
Freedom given to manage and develop site staff, priorities jobs & monitor site Works in consultation with the Field Services General Manger
Skills
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil engineering
Master’s is a plus
Preferred Experience:
5 to 9 years of Site Supervision experience or equivalent
Experience in fiber glass pipe manufacturing and installation related environments
Job-Specific Skills:
On-site construction experience
Knowledge of piping systems related to fiberglass is preferable
Knowledge in Cost Estimation processes
Good Planning, analysis and Estimation Skills
Ability to read and interpret pipe installation drawings
Ability to prepare and analyze technical reports
