TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise Material Planners: Oversee a team of material planners to ensure timely and accurate determination of raw material requirements.
Ensure Material Availability: Make sure raw materials are available to meet production schedules
Utilize MRP system: Coordinate material planning from purchasing to production
Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure optimum acquisition of materials.
Ensure continuous improvement in the purchasing process
Manage the NPIs, Engineering Changes and Phase in – Phase out projects from the materials perspective
Plan, develop and implement Materials Planning procedures.
Skills:
Thorough knowledge of the functional area under supervision.
Ability to develop processes and procedures
Analytical skills: the ability to use a logical, critical and methodical approach to assess information and solve problems
Identify root cause of a problem and implement corrective and preventive actions
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree completed
English level advanced
3 years of experience in similar position
Personnel management
Experience in SAP MRP
Strong computer skills, MS Excel (spreadsheet management, creating graphs and using advanced formulas)
