The person in the role will assist MBWV, its suppliers, and customers by providing overarching management of our agronomy support in Mexico. Building strong relationships with the grower base is a key component of the role to manage grower relations, respond and follow up on customer complaints, ensure efficient coverage of growing regions, and efficiently respond to technical issues that may arise.

Experience / Requirements:
- University degree in horticultural engineering, agricultural business, or equivalent;
- +5 years of experience in this or a similar position;
- Fluent English language skills are essential;
- Experience working for or within the berry industry on the plant and fruit production side, preferred;
- Understanding of financial documentation and management;
- IT Skills – Excellent Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. Power BI and/or Monday.com experience is appreciated;
- Availability to travel;
- Provide agronomic support to the Grower Liaison’s, overseeing agronomy training and development, to ensure that we are staffed with highly capable individuals to ensure excellent quality plants and fruit;
- Facilitate technical support to propagators and growers across all crops to maximize the yield potential of their crops within market lead supply windows;
- Oversight of reporting system in Monday.com for timely reporting of changes to crops, including pest and disease issues, claims, plant destruction, etc;
- Management of Grower Agronomy Support Program to ensure each grower feels supported by MBWV and that their needs are being met;
- Work with the MBWV team on outload and delivery of plants to growers on time and to specification;
- Work with the procurement team to secure new growers by assisting in the development of planting and production proposals that meet business objectives;
- Provide support to Operations and Senior leadership by receiving information on Mexico propagation and production from the wider team and ensuring relevant information is quickly reported up;
- Develop and maintain relationships with our customers, growers, and other third parties;
- Ability to work without supervision and to manage a team across a wide area without weekly face-to-face interactions, communicate with internal/ external personnel, plan and prioritize workload with proven time management skills, excellent attention to detail, and organizational skills.
