Support Managers by conducting and /or participating in Kaizen events to assess and eliminate waste and non-value-added activities (such as 3P Events, SMED, Line Balancing, Standard Lean Event, etc).
Develop continuous improvement initiatives to reduce inventory, work in process (WIP), raw materials, and finished goods without affecting customer delivery or decrease in volume.
Work with plants to plan, coordinate and manage capacity planning to ensure continuous rapid improvements as measured by on time delivery, cycle time, inventory days on hand, inventory accuracy and cost.
Interface with Operations, Purchasing, Materials, Engineering, Commercial and Supply base teams to obtain support in the areas of implementation, project support, lines balancing, lean packaging, logistics, material flow, inventory planning and control focusing on total cost benefits, etc.
Support operations to meet the lean principles across the plant with all the members of the multidisciplinary team.
Manage a project at each of its stages: initiating the project, learning about the needs of a business, engaging people from different parts of business, planning, monitoring, controlling, and closing a project.
Track and upload savings on time each month – forecasts and actuals.
Manage Process Audit site for 6S audit schedule and corrective actions.
Supports month end activities, i.e. Enter Proj Lean Savings, e MOS display, Race for Excellence (where applicable), CI Portal data.
Support End of production activities, decommission of equipment.
Ensures that processes and product designs meet the customer’s expectations and Cooper Standard financial targets.
Analyses VCM & Plant Margin to develop actions to improve it. Analyses Authorized Head Count based on production releases and looks for efficiency opportunities (including BOM & Routings).
Help to calculate containerization.
Promote and supervise the proper use of system procedures and practices described and written in the administration system of Quality IATF16949 in what’s related to CI.
Complies with ISO 14001 according to FTM-EHS-12. Matrix of Roles Responsibility and Authority in what’s related to CI.
