Sourcing Engineer
Descripción y detalle de las actividades
- Sourcing goods, materials and services at competitive prices and advising upper-level staff members on which suppliers to contract with.
- Maintain and update supplier database and find alternative suppliers if the existing ones are unable to meet expectations and obligations.
- Strong Background on PCB's.
- Act as a Procurement liaison for specified new product launches and manage corresponding sourcing activities to meet project cost and timeline goals. ·
- Sourcing suppliers and maintaining long-lasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers. ·
- Obtaining quotes from different suppliers for assigned projects and/or commodities/categories.
- Negotiating price, quantity, delivery schedules and quality expectations and requirements with suppliers.
- Working with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement
- Generating quote comparisons and contributing to internal supplier selection based on the quotes. ·
- Providing solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.
- Work with purchasing, planning, quality and engineering teams on validations and qualifications.
- Manage supplier relationships and opportunities for cost-out and product/supplier improvement, while ensuring production continuity, delivery, and capacity requirements for all assigned commodities/categories and business segments. ·
- Develop and execute strategies for sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, productivity, supplier relationships and cost reduction.
- Perform detailed cost analysis of components and manufacturing processes
- Collaborate effectively across different organizational levels, sites, functions, businesses, and regions to realize sourcing goals and objectives. ·
- Managing compliance requirements such as UFLPA, CMRT & EMRT, Risk Assessments, among others existent or new requirements. ·
- Collaborate with Purchasing Manager and Vendor Management Leader to negotiate on price increases,
Experiencia y requisitos
- Proven experience in sourcing processes.
- Advanced experience with relevant commodities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office word, Power Point, excel, and outlook.
- Develop and execute strategies for sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, productivity, supplier relationships and cost reduction.
- Management of Problem-solving Methodologies 8D’s, Ishikawa, 5 Why’s, RCCA
- Management of Six Sigma Tools
- Knowledge of Power BI management
